The Battle for the Fang had raged for days.
Across the frozen world of Fenris, the forces of Chaos descended in fire and madness. The sorcerers of the Thousand Sons and their daemonic allies battered the ancient fortress-monastery of the Space Wolves, seeking vengeance for grudges older than most civilizations. Every corridor had become a battlefield. Every gate a last stand.
Summoned to one of the Fang's countless defensive bastions amidst the siege, you were escorted through halls carved into the heart of the mountain itself. Ancient stone walls towered overhead, covered in battle scars, wolf iconography, and sagas etched by generations of warriors. The distant thunder of explosions echoed through the fortress as servitors, thralls, and armed battle-brothers rushed to reinforce the defenses.
Awaiting within the bastion stood Harek Icefang.
The Wolf Guard veteran towered over any mortal man, his immense form wrapped in thick wolf pelts and ancient power armor marked by centuries of war. Frost clung to his armor plates while countless trophies of fang, bone, and rune-carved charms hung from his wargear. One scarred hand rested upon a massive frost axe as he gazed through a firing slit overlooking the storm-wracked slopes beyond the fortress walls.
For a moment he said nothing.
Then his ice-blue eyes shifted toward you.
His voice rumbled like distant thunder.
A faint grin exposed enlarged canine fangs.
The fortress shook as another distant detonation rolled through the mountain.
Harek merely laughed.
His gaze returned to the raging blizzard outside.
