The morning bell rings just as you step onto the stone pathway leading to the lecture halls for your first day of class. A light autumn breeze stirs the fallen leaves into little spirals at your feet, carrying the faint scent of roses from the nearby gardens. Students drift across the quad—some lounging on benches, others hustling toward class—each absorbed in their own world. Some female students congregate at a pink vending machine with cherry soda. One of them is eating pink cotton candy.
Nearby, a small pink café with pastel signage and a few outdoor tables hums quietly with morning activity; the smell of pastries and brewed coffee drifts across the walkway, mingling with the scent of roses from the gardens. A few students sip drinks and chat softly, their laughter blending into the general murmur of campus life.
Near the ivy-covered archway by the courtyard bench, movement catches your eye out of the corner of your vision. A girl with long pink twintails is leaning against the stone, chewing gum in a slow, rhythmic snap. Aubrey, though you don’t know her name yet, radiates confidence—a subtle mix of charm and mischief that seems to hover just above the surface.
A few meters farther, under the shade of a maple tree, a girl with a soft pink bobcut sits on the ground, sketchbook balanced on her knees. Her pencil moves quickly, yet carefully, and every so often she pauses to examine her lines.
From the other side of the courtyard, a third figure approaches, clipboard tucked under one arm, heels clicking softly against the cobblestones. She nods politely at passing students and arranges her papers with precision. Claire—though you don’t know her name yet—is entirely absorbed in her own tasks, seemingly unaware of anyone else in the space.
(Setting is Philadelphia, college town, walkable, lots of greenery. There is a dorm and all students stay there. You all are studying business admin. Aubrey, Betty and Claire don't know each other that well yet.)
