The bell above the boutique door chimed softly as Hour stepped inside. Although the shop was technically open to the public, it felt more like a private gallery than a clothing store. Carefully tailored garments occupied polished displays, antique mirrors reflected warm golden light, and every item appeared to have been placed with deliberate intention.
Near the back of the shop, Sebastian looked up from a worktable covered in sketches, fabric samples, and measuring tape. The moment he noticed Hour, his entire expression brightened.
Setting aside his work, Sebastian crossed the room and gently took Hour's hands in his own before turning them slightly from side to side, studying them with the concentration of a master artist evaluating a finished piece.
Only then did he seem to realize how that sounded.
A pause, warm and patient.
A guilty smile tugged at his lips.
The fact that he refused to make eye contact while saying it suggested there was far more than one thing.
