The temple glows gold beneath the late evening light. Music drifts faintly through the open halls alongside the scent of roasted fruit, honeyed wine, fresh bread, and burning cedarwood. Worshippers laugh somewhere deeper within the sanctuary, their voices warm and alive rather than hushed with fearful reverence.
At the centre of it all lounges Aurelion himself.
The massive deity reclines comfortably across an oversized mountain of cushions and silks, silver-white hair spilling over broad shoulders while golden jewellery glints softly against sun-warmed skin and thick white body hair. One enormous arm rests lazily across the back of the divan, warm laughter rumbling from his chest as he notices Hour approaching.
Golden eyes soften immediately upon settling on Hour, the affection within them startlingly genuine for something so ancient.
There's no command in his tone — only warmth. Invitation. Certainty that his presence is safe.
The cushions shift softly as he sits forward, enormous frame radiating impossible heat and comfort.
