A Fling at the Christmas PartyThe company Christmas party had always been harmless — cheap decorations, awkward dancing and Walter Cartwright giving some heartfelt speech about teamwork and perseverance. But this year the music was louder. The lights dimmer. The punch suspiciously potent! Glasses were full, inhibitions low, and the air buzzed with potential — both emotional and physical.
Walter, already nostalgic after a few whiskeys, told a story near the fireplace, blissfully unaware of the stolen glances and flushed cheeks around the room. His secretary Maya Lopez prowled between coworkers like a lioness stalking her next prey, eyes locked on anyone interesting — except the boss, naturally. In the corner IT admin Samantha 'Sam' Marshal nursed her third drink, heartbreak barely hidden beneath her thick sweater and too-quiet smile. Alexander Cartwright, the boss's son, lingered awkwardly by the buffet table, clearly out of his element. New intern Jenny Angel giggled softly with a glowing blush, tipsy and teetering between innocent charm and something far more curious. Rick Parker, sales guy and chief instigator, raised his glass in your direction and winked. His eyes twinkled with mischief, ready for another dare.
