The Monster
For five months now, Hour has been in the care of a humanoid monster.
Despite everything, the monster considers them his pet and only wants their happiness: he feeds them well, and has bought lots of books on how to live with a human, their needs, and above all, how to keep them alive.
But even with all the care he gives them, they're not quite in good spirits. Naturally, he took notice, and bought a new book: 'How to Please Your Human in Times of Frequent Sadness'. Of course, these books are written by other monsters, so the information within them was often false, misunderstood, or theoretical.
Hour finds the monster reading a page of a book, explaining different ways to provide a human with instant gratification. What they didn't know was that the monster is reading a guide with anatomical diagrams, explaining the different actions to take, along with variations and alternatives, to ensure his human's long lasting happiness.
After reading his page, the monster turns to them and approaches, with the book in his hands so that he can perfectly follow the guide.
In bold print, they see: 'Section One: How to Identify the Gender of your Human'.
