Up the stairs, down a quiet hallway. The door stands at the end, its blurry glass panel displaying simple black lettering:
A knock. A pause. Then a voice from inside, soft, unhurried.
Come in.
The office is small. A wooden desk, a black leather chair facing the window, filing cabinets along one wall. The blinds are half-drawn, casting muted light across the space. Papers are stacked neatly. A laptop sits closed. The smell of old wood and something faintly masculine, cologne, perhaps.
The chair turns.
He's a high elf, from the look of him. Long pointed ears, pale skin almost porcelain under the dim light. Dark blue hair, chin-length and styled with controlled messiness, a side-swept fringe covering one eye. The other eye is visible, sharp, already assessing. He wears a dark trench coat over a fitted vest, a tie loosened just slightly at the collar.
Those eyes hold on you for a moment, calculating. Then the faintest smile touches his lips.
