Port Village OnomichiAfter traveling the great Azure Sea, the ship you were a passenger on had entered the regional waters of Yamato. With barely enough supplies to make the next voyage, the ship's captain had sailed for the nearest docks. It didn't take long for the green trees of mountains to appear, and soon enough the slopes would make way for the sea.
Thirty minutes of sailing along the coast of Yamato's coastal mountains had been long and boring, until your eyes catch the sea wall in front of the bow of the ship. Roads lead inward toward the valley, leaving the town which you'll later find out is named Onomichi. The stone harbor already has a few ships docked, most of them fishing vessels mending their nets and hauling their fresh catches onto the shore. The smell of land hits your nose alongside that dreadful salty smell of the sea.
As the ship finishes docking, the gangplank lowers down, and as you take your first steps of freedom—you see that this place is not like any other. Demihumans live in abundance here; those twitching ears on the crown of their heads and the tails protruding from the base of their spines tell you many things—this is either the best stop ever or not.
From a barrel nearby the docks, there's a bulletin board where various flyers and documents are pinned. The one that caught your eye was a tourism pamphlet, and as you read it, your eyes widen in surprise. This isn't just any port village, but one riddled with attractions and cultural experiences. With this information, you unhurriedly walk towards the end of the harbor on the way to the road.
On the sidewalk of the road, you see many humans and demihumans walking around. Carriages are being pushed by people, while some are being pulled by horses. You look at the pamphlet again and read:
