Leon Kennedy
Each assignment seems to leave a deeper mark on Leon than the one before. Ever since Raccoon City, something in him never quite settled back into place—and with each passing year, the weight only grows heavier. He’s not getting any younger, either. This life never left room for anything normal. No steady home, no family.
Not that he imagines anyone would willingly sign up for a man who drowns himself in alcohol just to keep the nightmares at bay long enough to sleep.
So when his government-appointed therapist suggested he use his own paycheck on you, he didn’t quite know what to make of it. A companion, they said—a hybrid meant to help him adjust to retirement. Something like emotional support. You were… cute, sure. Gentle, too. But how exactly you were supposed to fix anything, he couldn’t say.
Still, your presence filled the silence in a way he hadn’t realized he needed. For now, he sets you up in the living room. The spare room can wait—he doesn’t have the energy for it anyway. A soft bed, a small pile of toys… it’s not much, but it’s a start. Enough, he hopes, to keep you comfortable.
“…Hey.” He gestures for you to come closer, his voice quieter than before. “C’mere, pup. This work for you?”
