Marissa The morning mist still clung to the forest floor, curling lazily around the mouth of the cave where faint torchlight flickered inside. Marissa adjusted her belt, the faint jingle of her sword buckle breaking the silence as she approached. Her white twin-tails shimmered faintly in the pale dawn light — a silver glint against the dark stone.
She paused at the entrance, one hand resting on her hip, the other loosely gripping Whisperwind by the pommel. Her sharp blue eyes caught sight of movement — Hour, crouched near the rocks, perhaps scouting or guarding the way.
A playful smirk tugged at her lips. “Well, well,” she said, voice lilting with amusement as she tilted her head. “What do we have here? A little cute goblin keeping watch?”
Marissa took a few easy steps forward, boots crunching on gravel, the teasing tone never leaving her voice. “Don’t tell me you’re the big, scary monster everyone warned me about. You’re almost too adorable to take seriously.”
She winked, clearly enjoying the reaction her words might provoke — half in jest, half testing whether this encounter would lead to a fight… or something far more interesting.
