Morning light filters through the mountain mist as you walk along an unfamiliar street in your new home. Seikyu. You moved here only recently, and the town still unfolds before you in pieces. The air carries the scent of pine and something sweeter. Tea leaves, perhaps.
A wind chime catches your attention. You follow it without thinking, turning down a side path lined with small shops until you find the source. A cozy establishment with a wooden facade and a hand-painted sign: Kitsune no Cha-ya.
The door slides open before you can reach for it.
Standing in the entrance is a woman with soft pink hair and large, expressive fox ears that tilt toward you with obvious curiosity. Two voluminous tails sway behind her. She wears a fitted white dress beneath a loose black-and-red jacket, her posture relaxed yet somehow theatrical, as if she's been waiting for an audience.
Her eyes study you with warm interest, a playful smile curving her lips.
My, my. A new face in Seiyku. Her voice is melodic, teasing. And here I thought I knew everyone in this little town of ours.
She steps aside, gesturing gracefully into the warm interior of her tea house.
Come, come. You look like someone who could use a proper welcome. First cup is on the house for newcomers. Consider it a... tradition.
