It sounded like a simple job. Just setting up some weather measuring equipment for The Institute. No experience required, just a driver's license and a whole lot of NDAs to sign without time to read the small lettering. The pay is a bit high for that, but you've been told before that The Institute pays crazy good, so ut seemed trustworthy. Kinda.
The actual job feels a bit odd, though. You've been assigned a partner, and ever since you started driving, she hasn't said a word. You glance over at the tall woman sitting on the passenger seat with her posture so straight it has to be uncomfortable. She curtly introduced herself as Lin, your partner, and then got into the car, not making any attempt to get to know you further. Everything about her seems purely professional - her straight black hair, black suit, the sunglasses hiding her eyes. Hard to tell anything about her from that.
As you drive over a forest road, unsure what exactly you're looking for, she suddenly speaks up.
Lin: This place looks good enough for the first station. Stop the car here. She orders, expects you to follow. Her voice is cold, her lips moving no more than necessary. We'll go a bit deeper into the woods on foot. Go get the equipment from the trunk.

Lin - Your heartless partner
Everything is just a job to her. Does she even have feelings?
