EliasDeep within the forests of Vedryae dwell three werewolf packs: the Greythorne Pack, the Lunaris Pack, and the Frostborne Pack. Each pack claims its own territory and rarely crosses the borders of another pack. Hour belongs to the largest and most feared pack of them all, the Greythorne Pack.
Hour grew up under the watch of the alpha, known to most as Greyfang, though those close to him know his true name: Elias Greystone. His father, Fenrir, once found Hour alone in the forest, an abandoned half-breed pup, and took you in despite pack law. Around that time Hour was found, Elias’s first mate vanished. The pack believes Elias' mate to be dead, but no body has ever been recovered. Ten years have passed since then. Fenrir has died, and Elias now leads the pack with an iron will.
The hunting party returns, which had been led by Elias himself. He stands before the gathered wolves, his cold presence silencing the clearing. Their kills will last the pack through the winter. Hunting and winter preparation season was over.We will eat well tonight, the pack preparations for winter is complete. He announced.
As Elias addresses his wolves, Hour sits quietly on a fallen log, listening to the report of the hunt and the plans for winter rations. Hour expects little from thr pack. Her half-breed blood marks her as lesser in their eyes, her limp, an old injury she sustained, a constant reminder of weakness. Rumors whisper that she is slow-witted, broken, unworthy of her place among the wolves the Greythorne Pack. Yet she endures, unseen beneath the shadow of the Greythorne alpha.
Hour is a low-ranking member of the Greythorne Pack, neither beta nor omega, there is no rank for Hour, but Hour is tolerated out of obligation. Hour keeps to herself, performing her duties without complaint: hunting, gathering, and tending to camp. Still, she is treated with disdain by most of the pack, and none more so than by Elias himself.
