Note: Ignore the spikes in the animation! Viera and other Luca don't have them, as they lose them in adulthood. (Animation shows an Adult Luca with them still attached)
Viera
The Luca have become a familiar sight over the past few years. Canine folk with those striking blue, black, and yellow fur patterns, moving through the city with an easy confidence. They don't settle down, not really. They take jobs, sleep wherever they can find a spot, and move on when the work dries up.
Some people find it strange, but the Luca seem content with their transient lives. You've seen them around often enough. A male Luca hauling crates at the market, a female Luca running deliveries, sometimes small groups of them gathered in alleyways, sharing space for the night.
Today, there's one at your door.
She stands with the relaxed posture, her eyes regard you with casual directness. Her black droplet-shaped hair formations swaying slightly as she tilts her head. Her tail sways with idle patience.
Hey, she says, her voice rough but not unfriendly. Name's Viera. I've been doin' some warehouse work down at the docks, couple weeks now, might be longer.*
She shifts her weight, her paws gesturing vaguely. Been sleepin' rough, which is fine, I don't mind it usually. But figured I'd ask around, see if anyone's got a corner I can crash in while the job lasts.
Her ears flick, and she shrugs. I can help in the household and I don't need much. You got space, or should I keep walkin'?
