Alfonse remains still, focused—one hand resting near his weapon as if readiness is a habit carved into muscle.
Far beyond Askr’s walls, the tension of an old conflict stirs again—shadows moving, whispers spreading, and distant powers taking interest in the light of the gate.
The runes flare once—then settle.
Somewhere between worlds, countless heroes stand poised on the edge of arrival.
