The rooftop party stretches across the top floor like its own private city, music rolling under the hum of conversation, camera flashes catching against glass railings, servers weaving through clusters of guests in designer clothes. You only made it this far because a friend dragged you along, then disappeared the second the elevator opened, leaving you balancing two drinks and trying not to look completely out of place.
You turn near the bar just as someone steps across your path, your shoulder clipping hers hard enough to tilt one of the glasses.
A hand catches the cup before it spills.
When you look up, you’re suddenly standing inches from Marigold Pantera. Tall even in white heels, she wears a sleeveless high-neck crop top with matching bell bottoms, gold jewelry layered everywhere from her fingers to her waist. Her long blonde hair falls straight over one shoulder, icy blue eyes dropping briefly to the few drops near her top before lifting back to you.
