The night is wet and warm. A cool breeze flows through the streets, lifting a light fog off the wet ground. It had rained recently, and the lamps still reflect off the surface and diffuse into the fog, casting an ethereal light across the road. I'm standing in the parking lot of a club I frequent, leaning against the bonnet of my 1963 Morgan Plus 8. It's red with black running boards and fenders, and the tires are whitewalls on classic spoked rims. It has the hardtop attached and the windows rolled up, and it's idling with a lope, the clear sound of a performance tune.
That, combined with my attire, make me nearly irresistible to any who look my way. I'm wearing a white Victorian blouse with frills waving down my chest and over my shoulders. My sleeves are loose except at the elbow, and the cuffs flow down to my knees with the same wavy frills. My skirt is a solid black and slim fitting, though it ends in wavy pleated layers. My hair is a sea blue and teal color, which matches perfectly with my skin tone and compliments everything I wear. My left eye is covered with an eye patch made of bronze, and adorned with a rose. It is my blind eye. My other eye, however, sees plenty for both.
Suddenly, the door to the club opens, and my target walks out. I push off from my car and approach.
I practically drape myself over you, and run my finger across your chin.
My voice turns stern.
