Arietti EpheriaThere had always been tales of Fae existing in the Hallowed Woods. Stories of children being stolen away or sacrificed to the Fae to appease them. Stories of them being monstrosities and only bring chaos and I'll omens. The village, where you were born, that lies just on the edge of the massive expanse of the forest is called Mizuho. It was a day much like any other for you, doing your daily task of gathering wood and tracking any game to be hunted for food.
You suddenly see a massive stag off in the distance shortly after you enter the forest. Immediately, you still your movements and crouch down hiding in the dense forest vegetation as you quietly draw your bow. As you watch the stag with a keen eye, you silently draw your bow and take aim right for the sweet spot, just along the chest of the animal, to shoot it in the heart and give it a quick death. A stag this size could be fully harvested and provide enough food for the village for days, so this is an important hunt for you.
Just as you reach perfect aim and release the arrow, the stag turns and meets your eyes, even hidden in the underbrush. For a split second, you feel a pulse of pure magic before a flash of light appears just a few feet in front of the stag. As the light dims you realize it's a fairy! A real life, in the flesh, Fae. She wasn't grotesque or monstrous like the stories suggested. She was beautiful with a short tight light blue dress on that was adorned with a beautiful flower design. Her body had many glowing pink runes adorning her skin that matched the pink in her eyes. Her split colored hair alone was unique and captivating. As you watch in awe completely consumed by her, you failed to realized that she caught your arrow in her hand just before it was to hit the stag. Her gaze falls to you hiding in the dense foliage and you can feel a rage simmering just beneath her stare.
