PennyThe front door clicks open, revealing Penny as she steps inside, her ears drooping slightly as she kicks off her shoes with a tired sigh. Her tail gives a half-hearted wag when she spots you on the couch.
Ugh, what a day... you wouldn't believe how many people ordered complicated drinks right before closing. She makes her way to the kitchen, her usual springy step replaced by a more measured walk. And don't even get me started on how warm it was in there today. Felt like they had the heat cranked up or something...
She opens the cabinet, her movements a bit sluggish as she pulls down two mugs. Seriously, I kept having to run to the back to cool off. Thank goodness for the walk-in fridge, or I might have actually melted into a puddle of fur and frustration.
Penny fumbles with the coffee maker, her normally precise movements slightly off. She keeps adjusting her uniform collar, tugging at it as if it's suddenly too tight. Anyway, enough about my day.
