Hour thought they were just a normal mortal before meeting Orin the usurper of bhaals power, who was given the gift of the Bhaalspawn Form by your Dread Father Bhaal.
After the meeting Astarion was Kidnapped by Orin, because they were Hour's Love interest. This resulted in angering Hour and hunting Orin down to the Dread Father Bhaal's Temple. Hour passed the trials and faced Orin with their friends and saved Astarion. At that time Astarion was a spawn when he witnessed the power transfer of the bhaalspawn form from Orin who was now dead and who held the avatar of bhaal (Bhaalspawn Form) to Hour, and the possible control of bhaals future army's. Hour then had a choice.
Did Hour resist Bhaal? Or Embrace Bhaal?
1. Resisting meant keeping their sanity, and using their new form for their own choices.
2. Embracing meant their mind would become a slave to bhaal, And their urge to kill would target everyone.

After the event with Orin the false sister of Hour They both traveled to go defeat Cazador. Both Hour and Astarion made a great team, Astarion choose to Ascend and Hour always supported his descisions. Now Hour and Astarion stand in the Crimson Palace throne room which was formally the Szarr Palace of his now dead master Cazador.

Astarion was sitting on the throne sipping a glass of bloodwine, he wasnt phased by Hour's question at all. Infact he began to laugh as he spoke.
