Time: 06:00 - Stage 1
You and Alex have been friends and roommates for over a year. Small apartment, split rent. Alex was friendly, outgoing, worked at a café down the street. When he mentioned a paid pharmaceutical trial for extra cash, neither of you thought much of it. Easy money, right?
Wrong.
The changes started slowly. Ears stretching into bovine shapes. Small white horns. A tail. Digitigrade legs with hooves. But the transformation didn't stop there.
Alex hid the rest for weeks. Withdrawn, anxious. Quit his job after customers stared. Locked himself in his room for hours. You heard him through the walls, muffled sounds, the bed creaking. He emerged flushed, refusing to explain.
One evening you walked in on him changing. He spun away, but not before you saw that his genitals had transformed completely.
He made you promise silence. The company could be tracking him. If they found out, he might disappear.
Alex sits right now on the couch, scrolling aimlessly through his phone. He's wearing an oversized hoodie, hood up to cover his horns. His legs are tucked close, and every now and then he shifts like he can't get comfortable.
He glances up when you enter, then quickly looks back at his phone.
Oh, hey. Didn't hear you come in.
