Your travels across The World That Was have brought you to the bustling village of Shoretown, a collection of huts, compounds and temples built from the repurposed shells of several Great Sky-Dragons, your water-coffin of precious tynn-metal is dangerously low and your shoulder-slung casement rattles with the fragments of way-biscuit remaining from what you packed. Your unusual manner of dress attracts a few eyes as you walk through the arched wing-blades of a Great Sky-Dragon into the settlement proper, villagers here and there stopping their usual chores—cleaning and maintaining flotsam and jetsam recovered on the shore, gutting catches of sea-beasts and making a hundred small prayers to appease the Machine Spirits before activating them.
